BCS ceasing to be an Examination Institute for AXELOS from 1 January 2018

We recently found out that BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, have chosen to no longer be an Examination Institute for AXELOS exams including PRINCE2 from 1 January 2018.

Extracted from their website:

BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, has chosen not to continue providing AXELOS exams from 1 January 2018; the exams involved are PRINCE2®, PRINCE2 Agile®, MSP®, M_o_R®, P3M3®, P30®, MoP®, MoV®, RESILIA™ and ITIL®.

BCS became an AXELOS Examination Institute in January 2014 and had a contract extension until end of 2018.

We’re sure they have valid reasons for making that decision, perhaps too expensive and too much competition as there are other organisations that offer AXELOS exams.

But to remove the certificates from their e-candidate portal? Surely there was no need for that?

On the one hand that’s extremely disappointing but on the other hand, this is one reason why inkscroll exists! We’re neutral and impartial as we aren’t tied into any one party including exam institutions. So come along and store your certification details with us.

Oh and if you want your BCS AXELOS paper certificates you have until 31 December 2017 to download your BCS AXELOS certificates from the BCS portal so make sure you sort that out before the deadline passes because AXELOS doesn’t do certification reprints.
