The Times recently published an article titled ‘Employers Turn to Personality Tests as AI Devalues CVs.’

But it’s not really AI devaluing CVs. In reality, it’s just a tool so it’s jobseekers themselves undermining their own applications by over-relying on AI-generated CVs. Many mistakenly believe that their CVs won’t get past Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) without AI assistance, which is a misconception. By using AI, jobseekers risk losing authenticity and individuality, ultimately doing themselves a great disservice.

Ironically, while AI was supposed to save time, jobseekers are more likely to find themselves spending even more time now navigating the hiring process with wider adoption of personality tests because of the misuse of AI. It’s like a game of retaliation is being played out. Both parties are losers as applicants will spend even more time and employers more money.

Well, the good news is that the inkscroll platform allows job seekers to store their personality test results, which employers can then use as a sifting filter — saving both time and money.

Ultimately, we must ensure we’re using the right tool for the job (pardon the pun). And we are in a different game – we’re in the game of helping employers find top talent before they even apply.

We need the talent first, more jobseekers with their career profiles to help recruiters, so come join us in the Revolution and together lets break this cycle of retaliation.
