I don’t know about you but I’ve had a great summer taking time out. It’s been completely unfocused. Achieved by purposefully not setting any goals and just taking each day as it comes without making plans way in advance for anything – which was a first for me!
The result: I had a wonderful journey this summer. I’ve met new people, made new friends and acquaintances, had random ‘networking’ meetings and attended various events. I experienced how a part time job can suddenly becomes a more-than-a-full-time job.
Luckily I fitted in a holiday and just qualified as a PADI Open Water Driver.
But even though summer’s over, the fun continues! With the downtime, I’ve realised that I need to get back to focusing on my startup. So far I’ve downloaded Asana, created a few tasks and set myself realistic deadlines. That should get me back into the swing of things. A pity the tool can’t do the tasks for me but luckily my batteries are recharged and I’m raring to get going. 🙂
So take some time out, see where each day takes you, look for new experiences and if you’re a bit of a planner like me, it’s easier to regroup and start afresh if I set goals before the summer for afterwards, review them to make sure they are still valid and get started!!
