A vision statement for a company focuses on “what” they intend to become. It’s inspirational. Set in the future and is a stretching target.
Your vision statement should be a short paragraph. 100% memorable and can be used as a conversation opener. Everyone in the business should be able to reel off the company’s vision and understand what it means. Can you, without looking down at your arm where you’ve tattooed it?
- Make sure that your company vision resonates with your values
- Make sure that everyone in the business knows it by heart
- Publicise the vision everywhere
- Use the vision statement to guide the business
