The Role

As a Power BI Developer , you’ll design and develop intuitive dashboards, data models, and reports that empower stakeholders to extract real value from their data.

Your expertise will enable business users and their customers to make critical decisions based on clear, actionable insights.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, developing, and optimising Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to user needs.
  • Building scalable data models and delivering insightful visualisations to support performance metrics and decision-making.
  • Leading knowledge-sharing and training initiatives to build Power BI capability across the organisation.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Driving continuous improvement by exploring new tools, features, and best practices in BI.

What You 'll Need

  • Deep expertise in Power BI, including creating dashboards, optimising data models, and developing advanced DAX calculations.
  • Advanced SQL skills to design and implement efficient queries and ensure seamless data integration.
  • Familiarity with Advanced Analytical Tools such as Azure Machine Learning, Power Automate or Power Apps.
  • Experience with Azure Data Services eg Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory
  • A strong understanding of data visualisation principles and governance.
  • The ability to train and mentor colleagues, ensuring they’re confident in using Power BI tools and reports effectively.
  • A problem-solving mindset and the creativity to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Retail experience or familiarity with working in fast-paced, tech-driven industries would be a huge bonus.

They work in a hybrid style, with 2 days a week in the office and the balance from home. Last but not least, you’ll need to be a car driver due to the rural location.

The benefits

My client will offer the right person an attractive salary, 24 days holiday, increasing to 26 after five years, plus an extra day for birthdays, non-contractual annual bonuses and pay reviews (based on performance) and a company pension scheme with 5% employer contribution.
