Based in London, with flexible hybrid work arrangements, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate across teams, manage key processes, and deliver high-value projects for a leading Finance Division.
About the Role
As the Finance Business Operations Manager, you’ll be the cornerstone of our Finance Division, overseeing critical areas such as budgeting, financial reporting, divisional communications, and project management. You’ll partner with senior leaders to streamline processes, craft impactful financial insights, and foster a culture of engagement, compliance, and innovation.
Your Key Responsibilities
Budgeting and Financial Reporting
- Lead the division’s budgeting processes, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly variance analysis.
- Be the go-to expert for finance-related inquiries, ensuring timely deliverables.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to create impactful financial presentations and reports.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and templates.
Project Management
- Support decision-making by analyzing processes, tracking project KPIs, and mitigating risks.
- Coordinate division-wide meetings and events to foster collaboration and engagement.
Policy and Control Management
- Champion financial process improvements by integrating AI and automation.
- Collaborate on policy alignment and train staff to promote compliance and accountability.
- Monitor and refine financial controls to mitigate risks and improve efficiencies.
Divisional Communications
- Oversee Finance Division communications, including newsletters, focus groups, and the intranet.
- Promote awareness of key initiatives, enhance employee engagement, and recognize achievements.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
- 10+ years in a corporate setting, with 5+ years exposure in a Finance role.
- Experience in project coordination and management, with skills necessary to interpret what is needed for the success of a project.
- Proven ability to strategize and implement high-level project initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Accounting qualification preferred but not essential.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in financial data analysis, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with change management principles
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.
- A commitment to confidentiality and professional judgment.
At CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process. In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position:
Expected salary Range: £75,000- £85,000 per year
Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12% pension employer contribution, and competitive medical benefits.
