The role of the Team Coordinator in North Tyneside is an important one within the community team as you are representing Coquet Trust to the people we support, their families and wider circle of support, as well as local agencies, and of course being an exceptional and forward-thinking leader to your team.

The purpose of this role is to enable the people we support to live their own life though the application of person-centred approaches, promoting individual choice, decision-making, control and independence.

For this particular role you would be working with a vibrant young woman in her 20s living in Wallsend who enjoys expressing herself through creative outlets like dance, arts and crafts, and exploring different hairstyles and makeup. She has a great sense of humour, once she gets to know you, and loves Disney movies. This person is currently learning sign language and enjoys teaching it to others. While she can be reserved at first, she has a strong personality and benefits from a consistent, nurturing approach from her support team.

This role requires a patient and empathetic individual who can provide person-centered support using active support and positive behaviour support techniques (In line with PROACT SCIPr-UK® whole approach). The ideal candidate will be passionate about empowering the person to develop her independence and life skills, while also ensuring her safety and wellbeing. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team to help her access the community, pursue her interests, and work towards her personal goals.

The role of Senior Health Care Worker:

We are looking for an experienced healthcare worker to join us, on a full time basis, in a senior position as Team Coordinator to:

• Assist the Support Manager in day -to-day management of Support Workers and locations.
• Use effective communication to guide and empower your team.
• Act as a role model at all times, providing the highest quality care and support.
• Provide Active Support and Positive Behavior Support.
• Enabling the people we support to live their lives to the fullest by keeping their needs and choices at the heart of your everyday actions.

What experience our Senior Support Workers need:

• Experience providing a high standard and wide range of support.
• A willingness to be flexible in your work.
• Ability to communicate clearly, with a good level of literacy and numeracy skills.
• Have an NVQ Level 3 in Social Care, or equivalent qualification.
• Holding a full UK Driving Licence is preferred.
