Disab Uk are the Uk arm of Disab Sweden, The market leaders in large industrial vacuum equipment. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge with knowledge of three phase electrical motors and switch gear and experience in maintaining and repairing various types of three phase machinery.

This role requires a experienced approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. The Maintenance Mechanic will play a crucial role in minimising downtime and enhancing productivity within our workshop and customers own sites

Work will be at our workshop in heywood as well as customer sites around the uk so some travel will be expected and is paid at normal over time rates

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, providing timely repairs as needed.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to facilitate repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance customer service by ensuring equipment reliability.
• Assist in the installation of new machinery or upgrades to existing systems as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role with a strong focus on mechanical knowledge and some experience of three phase electrical switch gear
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with colleagues and clients alike.
• A valid driver’s licence will be required for travel between sites or locations as necessary.
• Relevant certifications or training in electrical systems or mechanical engineering is a necessity of this position

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £40,000.00 per year
