Overview :

We are currently looking for a talented Junior Full Stack Java Web Developer to join our team on a remote contractor basis. As a junior member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with technologies, including J ava, Servlets, SQL, Git, AWS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience in developing and maintaining web applications while working remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain Java- based web applications.
• Assist in implementing server-side logic using servlets for seamless integration of front-end elements.
• Support the development and optimisation of SQL queries to interact with databases efficiently.
• Work closely with teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the responsiveness, performance, and security of applications across various platforms.
• Participate in troubleshooting and debugging issues to maintain application stability.
• Contribute to the implementation of security best practices to safeguard application data and infrastructure.
• Utilise Git for version control and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Assist in deploying and managing applications on AWS infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1+ years of experience in Java programming language.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with servlets and web application development.
• Basic knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Exposure to version control systems, preferably Git.
• Interest in learning and working with AWS services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
