Somerset Bridge Group are looking for a Senior Account Analyst to join our Pricing department to support the Internal Account Manager in the management of internal accounts. You will help to ensure the delivery of customer and commercial outcomes in line with our underwriting strategy, using data analysis to support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in the creation of reports to ensure that we are monitoring all areas of the account sufficiently.
- Analysis and review of account KPIs to ensure product performance is providing good customer outcomes for the business and our customers, providing recommendations and communicating any emerging risks.
- Working closely with the Pricing teams to understand the commercial and customer impact of price changes.
- Lead in the development and tracking of business plans.
- Conduct analysis of book mix, average premium movements, channel mix and other performance metrics, communicating key outputs to stakeholders.
- Analyse macroeconomic trends, external factors and claims inflation trends.
- Assist the development of junior colleagues through coaching and feedback.
- Support in the preparation of Fair Value Assessments.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong knowledge of programming languages (SAS, SQL or Snowflake).
- Good knowledge of the insurance market and competitive dynamics.
- Strong knowledge of Excel.
- Good knowledge of how an insurance produce is priced.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data across multiple different sources.
- Proven track record of creating reports and data analysis.
- Good communication skills.
- Numerical background (maths, finance, statistics).
- Experience with finance and budgeting processes.
- Familiarity with operational (claims, sales) processes is advantageous.
- Experience working with and supporting junior team members.
