Key responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer - Process Development

• Challenge and enhance existing and new manufacturing techniques to broaden capabilities.
• Develop business cases for new investments and process modifications.
• Contribute to the overall investment strategy for process development.
• Manage investment projects from concept through to implementation using the clients project management principles.
• Liaise with suppliers and collaborate with the clients Capex team.
• Oversee the handover of new processes to production, ensuring stakeholders are well-prepared.
• Monitor savings and cost levels for new investments and improvement initiatives.
• Drive data-driven manufacturing through strategic investments.
• Establish initial process capability baselines and contribute to ongoing improvement efforts.

Skills and Experience required of the Manufacturing Engineer - Process Development

Essential:

• HND/Degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience leading projects or work packages.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• IT proficiency with a keen interest in IoT and digitalisation.

Desirable:

• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of project management methods (Prince2, Agile, Scrum, or similar).
• Experience with automation and robotics in a manufacturing setting.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Ambition to pursue IEng/CEng accreditation or equivalent.
