Job Title: Library Assistant
Location: South Tees Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Hours: 37.5 hours
Trust Location: Healthcare Records, James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough TS4 3BW
What you’ll be responsible for:
1. Sorting and handling patient case notes.
2. Booking notes in and out of secretaries’ wards.
3. Using E-Camis system to track notes to be returned to offsite storage, also to book in notes and then accurately file notes stored in JCUH records.
4. Using the E-Camis system to browse and locate the healthcare records that are required for FHN. Track to new locations at FHN.
5. Actively prioritise, plan and monitor workload and seek solutions to problem areas. Complete daily log sheets to indicate workload to assist with target monitoring for the department.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Understanding of clerical processes.

Efficient and accurate word processing skills.
-
Experience in a clinical setting Knowledge of hospital patient administration system.

Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations and patient confidentiality.
This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
