Position:

The entry level/ Graduate position offers the applicant the opportunity to work in a creative environment with well-known UK and international brands.

In this role you will work closely with both our design teams, and suppliers to conceptualize and deliver engaging front-line retail marketing solutions.

An enthusiastic attitude is key to this role to ensure; all expectations are met, and the delivery of our solutions for both brands and retailers are a success.

Day to day tasks will involve:

• Conceptual Design and brainstorming of new retail displays and ideas with the use of sketching and 3D visualization
• Creating detailed design drawings for component manufacture using CAD programs such as Inventor or Solidworks.
• Managing the development of prototypes from various materials and manufacturers in UK and Abroad. Traveling to manufacturing sites when required for meetings.
• Project management of production jobs which includes working with the manufacturer, ensuring parts are produced and delivered on time and communication with all stakeholders.
• Participation in team meeting and brainstorming sessions to develop new ideas or resolve problems. We are a global company, so this might involve communication with Melbourne Au, Canada/USA or Europe outside of regular business hours.
• Traveling to Retail Stores for site measures, testing and confirming dimensions and accuracy of information.
• Being involved with the physical assembly and handling of samples, prototypes and trial units for our clients.

Position Requirements:

• Good concept development skills
• Great 3d Design Skills showing a clear understating of assembly and design for manufacture.
• Material knowledge including Acrylic, sheet metal, timber+paint.
• The ability to travel around the UK, meeting suppliers and clients, and visiting retail environments.
• Knowledge in the following or similar design software, Inventor/Solidworks/Fusion, Autocad, 3ds Max, Adobe Suite.
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective time management and organisation skills
• A degree in Industrial design or a background in Industrial Design/Project Management
