Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation, and maintaining a positive working environment. This position is perfect for someone with a strong background in hospitality and culinary arts who is eager to lead and inspire a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation activities.
  • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure all team members adhere to food safety standards.
  • Oversee food preparation and presentation to maintain high quality and consistency.
  • Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development and special events.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability in supervising and managing a team effectively.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate others.
  • Experience in food preparation, menu planning, and inventory management is advantageous.
  • A passion for culinary arts and commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Pay: From £13.00 per hour
