My client is looking for a Programme Director to join the defence team. This role you will ensure that Projects and Programmes are delivered in a consistent manner, in-line with Policy and Process, statutory regulations and the contractual commitments made throughout the business.

What you will be doing:

• Work with the Heads of Delivery of multiple Business Units
• - Through oversight of the Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for the delivery of project data (schedule, cost, risk) to the Business Units to facilitate the management of their projects.
• - Company-wide P3M Sponsor, Mentor and Leader including responsibility for the processes and toolsets.
• - Point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders for all things P3M-related.
• - Manage, coach and motivate to develop performance, maximise effectiveness and ensure company values, ethical standards, organisational vision, policies and procedures, statutory and contractual requirements are always adhered to.
• - Responsible for the P3M departmental budget ensuring the delivery of cost-effective services and solutions that add value.
• - Oversee the reporting and governance of customer and internal projects ensuring compliance with statutory, company and customer requirements.
• - Provide project management inputs into bids and proposals to ensure credible and cohesive solutions to support successful outcomes.
• - Be the advocate for P3M at a senior level, giving a senior voice to the challenges faced in the delivery of projects, providing a balanced view to ensure challenges are understood and managed appropriately.
• - Responsible for continuous improvement using data and feedback generated, identify and drive improvements to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of identified and along with opportunities for business improvement.
