Deputy Head of Department- Retail

We are looking for a Deputy Head Of Department for our Country Living team. This department is the most diverse and changing within our retail team and is known for its excellent service and high standards and we are looking for someone that will ensure these high standards are maintained daily by maintaining shopfloor presence and directing the team to get the best results.

About us

Situated just off the A9 in majestic Highland Perthshire, we are Scotland’s most celebrated department store. Celebrating our 30th anniversary, we continue to expand and innovate, offering huge scope for career growth, job security and consistent hours of work all year round. A big company but on an intimate scale, we notice ability and hard work, recognising and rewarding loyal service. Our diverse customer base is reflected in our workplace, which is friendly and welcoming to all.

About the Role

The successful candidate will support our Head of Department to engage and develop the team to assist them in reaching their full potential. The successful candidate will have retail experience, ideally in a homeware or similar retailer although that is not essential. You will have a proven track record of leading a team. You will enjoy the challenge of leading a team to achieve high standards and sales targets and have a passion to succeed and deliver excellence. • A Great Team Leader with a proven track record.
  • Collaborative, flexible and reliable.
  • Able to support a rapidly changing programme.
  • Interested in visual displays, with visual flair.
