About Marl International Limited / Glamox
Marl International Limited was found in 1973 in Ulverston that produces large-scale custom lighting systems, as well as rugged LED components. We work closely with the defence and rail industries, as well as producing speciality lighting for creative applications. Marl became part of the Glamox group in August 2024.
The Role:
This is an excellent job opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic experienced Electronics Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary Design Department.
The successful candidate should be able to learn at a fast pace as well as apply previous knowledge to the role. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the design and development of predominantly Electrical / Electronic Products and Systems with some Mechanical / Optical Design cross-over for an array of market sectors including defence.

Key Responsibilities :
- Advanced Level Electronic Design, covering:
Schematic Capture
Multi-Layer PCB Design & Layout
Design for Manufacture
Achieve EMI/EMC Compliance through PCB Layout best practice
- Technical Specification Creation & Customer Liaison
- Rapid Prototyping
- Optical Measurement and Testing
- EMC & Environmental Testing of New Products
- Quality and Test Report generation
- Component Specifying and BOM Creation
- Technical Construction File Creation & Management
- Design to meet Legislative and Technical Requirements
Essential Skills & Abilities:
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience as an Electronics Engineer
- A good relevant Degree minimum BSc/BEng 2:1 or equivalent
- Proficient English verbal & written communication
- Experienced high-level user of ECAD and/or 3D MCAD software
- Ability to work solo and as part of a team to ensure departmental objectives are achieved
- Willingness to travel
- Eligible to obtain UK security clearance and always maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
- Due to the classified nature of some of industries Marl operates in, there is no opportunity to work from home. As a result, a reliable commute or willingness to relocate prior to starting work is essential.
Beneficial Skills & Abilities:
- Experienced user of Altium Designer and/or SolidWorks
- Current Full Driving Licence

Pay: £35,363.12-£39,595.92 per year
