CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To assist the chefs with food service as necessary
- Receive, check and store supplies
- To stock cupboards, fridges and storage areas
- Keep clear and clean tables and prep areas
- Clean dishes and cooking utensils
- Assist with food prep as necessary
- Attend any training sessions as required to meet regulations in a kitchen environment
- Be proactive in supporting the kitchen team in any other tasks as required
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Environment temperature may be warm when kitchen busy
- Standing or moving around for extended periods
- Lifting, reaching and manual handling
- Some weekend working may be required and flexible hours
Summary
As a Kitchen Porter, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen. Reporting to the Head Chef, your role involves supporting food preparation and ensuring that all kitchen equipment and utensils are sanitized and ready for use. We would love you to bring relevant skills in food preparation, kitchen experience, and hospitality to contribute to a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From £12.60 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 21 per week
