Base Salary: £25,000.00

Smarter Cover Limited are a life insurance brokerage based in Weybridge, Surrey. We have been established since 2012 and are partnered with some of the UK’s most recognisable insurers including AIG, Legal & General and Liverpool Victoria.

We’re looking to add a Junior Internal Recruiter to our small & agile People department. With an HR overhaul in progress and a large number of new hires needed, we’re looking for someone that is looking to shift their career to internal recruitment

Role Overview:

As a Junior Internal Recruiter at Smarter Cover, you will play a key role in supporting our talent acquisition efforts. You will work closely with the Recruitment Manager as well as the hiring managers to source, screen, and recruit top talent for various positions within the company. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about recruiting and eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Junior Internal Recruiter Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Recruitment Manager to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and networking events.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit for open positions.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Assist with the creation and posting of job descriptions on relevant platforms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the applicant tracking system.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork and orientation activities.
  • Provide support for other HR-related tasks and projects as needed.

Junior Internal Recruitment Requirements:

  • Previous experience in Recruitment (Agency or Internal)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.
  • Passion for learning and a willingness to take on new challenges.

Junior Internal Recruitment Desirables:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in recruiting or human resources preferred
