Due to our continued growth and national client portfolio of partners, Pennington Choices is looking for qualified field-based Asbestos Consultants to join our asbestos teams across the UK, ensuring the delivery of asbestos services in accordance with client’s contractual requirements.

As an Asbestos Consultant at Pennington Choices your responsibilities would involve:

  • Conducting UKAS-accredited air monitoring, four-stage clearances, and asbestos surveys (housing and commercial).
  • Supporting project management, training, and auditing within the Asbestos Management Team.
  • Staying updated on asbestos and health and safety legislation, UKAS accreditation, and industry best practices.
  • Working flexibly across company offices or client sites as required.
  • Maintaining technical expertise and sector awareness while meeting billing and productivity targets.
  • Complying with quality assurance processes and support audit programmes.
  • Upholding company values and foster a positive, open culture.
  • Engaging in training, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring legal obligations are met as a provider of asbestos services and employer.
  • Performing additional duties as needed.

About you

To succeed in this role you will need to hold as a minimum P402 and/or P403 and P404 qualifications, and possess the following attributes:

  • Significant experience in conducting UKAS accredited asbestos surveys and/or air monitoring and 4 stage clearances to a high standard
  • Full driving License and driving experience
  • Ability to work at height and confined spaces (training provided)
  • Agreement to DBS check

Beneficial experience:

  • Construction or surveying HND or Degree
  • Scientific/Maths A-levels, or science HND.
  • P401/S301/W504 qualifications
  • Experience in project management, training and auditing

  • Competitive salary between £36,415 to £43,593 per annum dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
