The purpose of the Fire Safety Consultant role is to help service Amalgamate’s expanding portfolio of clients. The role requires someone who will work unsupervised to deliver fire safety consultancy services to clients from a wide range of sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Delivering best in class fire safety consultancy services
- Fire risk assessments in accordance with PAS 79-1:2020 and the wider legislative framework.
- Liaise directly with clients and others, such as buildings and facilities managers, surveyors, fire engineers and landlords in the completion of work activities.
- Being able to provide competent fire safety advice while developing and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Preparation and delivery of fire safety training and awareness courses.

Personal specifications
- Relevant fire safety qualification (such as NEBOSH (Fire), FPA qualifications or CFPA diploma)
- Registered with one of the recognised schemes identified within the Fire Risk Assessment Competency Council Criteria
- Thorough up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation and best practice
- Demonstrate a strong consultancy skills
- Able to work independently where required but also part of a small team focused company
Desirable skills:
- NEBOSH Diploma advantageous
- Chartered Membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (or working towards)
- Compartmentation surveying and fire door inspection experience
- Fire safety training experience
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £40,000.00-£47,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
