About the role:
We are delighted to announce that we are seeking an experienced L&D Manager (Scientific) to join our team at Sonic Healthcare UK. This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory trainer with a strong desire to support employee growth and development and are keen to join a company that prioritises training and development.

With our core laboratory based at The Halo Building in London WC1H 9AX, we also have an expanding site in Manchester as well as smaller hospital-based laboratories across a country wide laboratory network.
The L &D team:
The L&D team sit within HR and is a growing team focused on the supporting development of all our employees across the organisation which encompasses both a scientific and corporate (non-scientific) workforce.
We have a successful Totara Learning Management System delivering eLearning in addition to a range of live interactive workshop courses. We recently launched our Sonic Training Academy which annually recruits a cohort of apprentices to complete a Biomedical Science degree and associated professional experience to achieve HCPC registration.
We publish an annual education report which showcases our achievements across the organisation.
The role:
As L&D Manager (Scientific), you will work with the Head of Learning and Development and the wider L&D team in the provision of scientific training. This is a new role to support our expanding organisation and offers the chance for an individual to inform and guide new training initiatives in line with business goals.
A copy of the job description is available and one of the areas we’ll look to focus on initially is oversight and management of all IBMS portfolios across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in delivering and managing laboratory training including support with both IBMS registration and specialist portfolios.
