The Angel & Royal Hotel is situated in the market town of Grantham in Lincolnshire.

We are looking for a Junior Sous chef or talented chef de Partie looking for promotion. You will be working with a great head chef and kitchen team and will be involved in constantly working throughout the year with the head chef and designing new seasonal menus for our Bistro, as we change them. You will be a team player and will work very closely with the head chef.
We offer A la Carte and Table d’Hote menus in the Bistro 6 days a week and also have 3 meeting rooms and the Kings room function room for weddings and other functions… We will be promoting regular music and dinner nights also and promoting our venue for weddings and special occasions throughout the year.

You will have previous experience in a similar role and a similar quality establishment. All of our food is cooked freshly on site and we pride ourselves on using local suppliers and having seasonal and interesting menus.

You will sometimes be in charge of the kitchen on the head chefs days off so will need to have the confidence and ability to do so although further ongoing training will be given.

The Hotel was completely refurbished three years ago and opened up again two years ago. We have 31 rooms and the quality and presentation of our food is paramount in order to persuade our guests to dine with us instead of the local competition.

We have recently acquired the Halifax bank next door to the Hotel and are having it completely refurbished into a quality 80 cover restaurant with meeting rooms and a function room above, so promotion is definitely possible in the future as our food and drink operation more than triples.
