• Job Overview
  We are seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at our traditional, busy pub restaurant near Carmarthen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for home made traditional favourites along with a flair for creating delectable special dishes. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, and leading a small team of great kitchen staff.

Duties

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes following standard recipes
• Supervise kitchen staff and provide guidance as needed
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Monitor food stock levels and place orders as required
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
• Create new menu items and specials in collaboration with the management team

Experience
Required Skills:

• Proficient in various culinary techniques
• Knowledge of kitchen operations and equipment
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Team management experience
• Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.50-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
