Our business data sharing and insights platform makes it easy for financial service providers to retrieve on-demand insights from their business customers.

We are creating a new category of SMB intelligence: combining data shared through API connectivity with AI-powered insight to provide unparalleled visibility into SMBs that enables deeper relationships & automated actions.

The Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to lead design initiatives at Codat, with a particular focus on reimagining how customer-facing teams at banks & fintechs engage with our spend insights.

This role is central to our mission, empowering Relationship Managers at banks and fintechs to better serve SMBs by optimizing treasury services through intuitive design and strategic insights.

The experiences you design will be central to the new SMB Intelligence category we are creating: changing the way companies like JP Morgan, PayPal & Revolut interact with data.

• Lead Codat’s overall design strategy for spend insights.
• Deliver and refine clear storytelling around product needs and opportunities, ensuring a deep understanding across teams.
• Work cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and research peers to create, collaborate, and iterate on flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals.
• Design and ship high-quality product improvements that meet the strategic goals of the organization.
• Conduct user research, including ethnographic studies, to gather deep insights into user behaviors and needs, translating these into actionable design decisions.
• Spearhead the UX/UI design process, from concept through to execution, ensuring that designs effectively address user pain points and business goals.

• You approach design by first fostering a deep understanding of the user and their problems.
• You have extensive experience designing UX for SaaS/product focused businesses. Experience in fintech or banking is a plus.
• You love the challenge of building products for business users in a b2b context.
• You possess an eye for high-quality, well-crafted visual and interaction design, and a passion for UI details.
• You have experience working independently to explore concepts from beginning to end and are capable of designing simple solutions to complex user problems.
• You have demonstrated ability to handle complex projects with overlapping organizational lines and proficiency in prototyping ideas to articulate nuanced design decisions.
• You have an entrepreneurial spirit, excitement about novel solutions, experience leading 0-to-1 initiatives.
