Electrical & Electronics Engineer
Location : Dundee, UK (on site Hybrid)
Salary: £45k-65k + Bonus + Pension Scheme + Benefits
Position Summary
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Product Engineering Team based in Dundee. This is a multi-discipline team developing and supporting the production of ATM’s (Automated Teller Machine). Each ATM combines a range of financial Self-Service modules that are packaged to deliver complex transactions in a wide variety of environments.
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronic Engineer who will develop the electrical systems within the ATM.
Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities shall include, but will not be restricted to:
- Help define, maintain & ensure adherence to the ATM System Architecture design.
- Help in the definition of how architecture evolves in line with industry & technology trends.
- Implement best practice design & identify any technical risks.
- Develop ATM system interconnect diagrams & system architectures.
- Solve complex hardware/software interoperability problems.
- Support various projects through planning, development & test.
- Attend or lead design reviews
- Prepare documentation, procurement specifications, Functional specifications, test reports.
Role Requirements
The successful candidate will be a highly focussed, self-motivated individual able to work as part of a team of electrical / system engineers while demonstrating good analytical and problem solving skills. Must understand the importance of attention to detail and have excellent written and spoken communications skills & be able to communicate status at senior level. The following mix of skills and experience will be required:
- Industry experience of analogue and digital electronics. Awareness of industry trends & understanding or latest/future technologies.
- An understanding of PC Architecture especially USB & other comms protocols.
- Experience in PCB development and test, including schematic entry.
- Experience/awareness of device firmware development & tools.
- Experience of electrical system debug techniques & tools.
- Good understanding of International test standards applicable to IT equipment, including safety and EMC.
- An ability to work within a small technical team, manage time effectively and work within tight project deadlines.
- Experience with using Cadence or other PCB design tools and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in the following industries would be considered relevant; Automotive, Avionics, Military, White goods, Motion control, Modern production environment, consumer electronics, IT equipment & ATM design.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Physics or related engineering subject
- Solid experience in an electronics design environment.

Pay: £45,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
