As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will oversee the daily operations of the Residential Children’s Home. You will provide guidance and support to the care team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and act as a point of contact for external agencies and stakeholders. Previous experience in a leadership role within a residential care setting is required.

Along with the care team, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day care and support of our children and young people. You will provide a nurturing and stable environment, ensuring their safety and well-being. Your responsibilities will include providing emotional support, assisting with daily activities, promoting positive behaviour, and coordinating with other professionals involved in the child’s care.

Working Hours:

40 hrs per week average over 52 weeks including additional sleep-in duties. Following a rolling three week rota, working one shift on, two off, allowing for a greater work - life balance.

Salary Bracket:

£32,280 - £33,320 (£13.50 - £14.00 per hour)

Salary is inclusive of sleep-in duties, based on completing a minimum of 7 sleeps on per month.

On-Call duties are paid additionally and can increase annual salary by £2,100 per year.

Guaranteed annual pay increment increase each year, of approximately £1000, to recognise the commitment and resilience shown by our team members.

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:

1. Genuine passion for working with children and young people

2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

3. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively

4. Have previous leadership experience within a residential care setting

5. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays

6. Full manual UK Driving Licence

7. Right to work in the United Kingdom

8. QCF Level 3: Children and Young people’s Workforce or equivalent qualification
