CONTRACT/ STUDIO FLORIST- Job Specification

Job Title: Contract/ Studio Florist

Reporting to: Managing Director- Leanne Roberts Hewitt

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: Experience dependant with a six-month review. Auto enrolment pension.

Paid via our rota system Tanda which will monitor your weekly hours. Paid respectively on the 10th of the following month. Over time paid at time and half for hours worked between 10pm - 4am.

Hours of Work: Hours per week will be 40 - 45 hours per week. Weekend work is essential and days off in the week will be given to cover hours.

Job Summary: This role is perfect for a fun and motivated individual who loves to push the creative boundaries, has an innate sense for detail and a passion for floristry. Designing and creating weekly contracts for our luxury corporate and private clients; no day is ever the same.

Criteria: A minimum of 2 years’ floristry experience, confidence in contract and event floristry, able to work within a team on site and in the studio and are computer literate. Full clean driving license also required. You must be a team player and happy to work flexible hours. Previous contract floristry experience is a must and the ideal candidate will be confident in designing and creating contract work solo and within the team on a weekly basis. To be able to work within budget, creatively as well as ordering flowers to ensure that all designs are made efficiently and profitably.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing our corporate and private contract flowers on a weekly basis, ordering flowers, vases and any props required as well as involvement in delivery.
  • Support on site when installing events and weddings.
  • Go to market as and when required.
  • Order flowers online and maintain the budgeted gross margin.
  • Organising and conditioning flowers as they are delivered from our suppliers.
  • Keeping the studio clean and tidy with the Warehouse manager
  • Opening and closing studio at the start and end of each day
  • Keeping the external part of the studio clean and tidy and liaise with any external contractors to uphold this.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.50-£16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
