Mechanical Tendering Engineer
Objectives:
To prepare technically compliant and competitive mechanical tenders.
Based at our office in Halesowen, West Midlands.

Relevant Experience Required:
1. Large diameter mechanical pipework (carbon steel and stainless steel)
2. Take off material lists from GA drawings
3. P&ID drawings
4. Mechanical equipment
5. Fabrication and installation works
6. Water Industry
7. Various coatings
Responsibilities:
1. To prepare technically compliant and competitive tenders
2. To ensure tenders are completed within prescribed time parameters
3. To obtain and evaluate, both commercially and technically, quotations for all subcontract / bought-in items.
4. To attend site as necessary to view the proposed works.
5. To liaise with customer to obtain all data required to provide a complete and compliant offer.
6. To produce a financial estimate for tenders using the Tender Approval Procedure sheet (TAP) and obtain required authorisations prior to submittal of tender.
7. Represent the company at post tender meetings with the client as required.
8. Attend project launch meeting and inform project team of all pre award data.
9. Observe company rules and procedures and keep informed on company policy.
10. To produce for successful bids for completed tender take-offs and prepare a summary of material costs and labour hours/costs from the TAP for use in the evaluation of project performance.
11. To review and evaluate accuracy of bids against actual costs in liaison with the projects team for successful bids.
Minimum Qualifications:
We are looking for a mechanical engineer with over 5 years experience.
