Job Purpose

• To safely and sustainably provide QA Support to a leading engineering company specialising in the manufacture of high-precision electromagnetic devices for the science and healthcare sectors.
• Work in a team environment to develop and implement best practices that emphasis defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste to promote opportunities for improvement, product quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties and responsibilities

• Day-to-day implementation of the QEH&S Management system to ISO 9001,13485 14001 and 45001 standards
• Supporting the shopfloor with problem solving to resolve quality, environmental and H&S concerns
• To carry out mechanical and electro-mechanical inspection and test duties as and when required of supplied goods, manufactured components and finished products • Product compliance verification
• Verification/validation of CA’s
• Verification of change (ECR, interim process change)
• Assist with the preparation of quality plans (Mechanical Measurement and Quality Inspection Plans, Working Instructions, Test Doc, other as required)
• Responsible for ensuring that the projects requirements meet quality standards of our customers, internal QEH&S Management system and applicable regulatory requirements • Monitoring for adherence to procedures and processes
• Develop, maintain and improve Customer relationship through acting with urgency and integrity to handle customer complaints in a timely manner • Support improvement initiatives
• To carry out internal auditing and maintenance of the standards of ISO 9001 ISO13485 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and 45001 H&S Management System.
• Facilitating customer and third-party audits
• Closure of corrective actions from audits, and non-conformances including manufacturing, customer complaints and supplier quality.
• Manufacturing and Engineering support (include training, advice, etc)
• Working closely with the Quality team and liaise with other department heads
• Quality KPI/metric development & maintenance
• Represent quality department in internal meetings as required
• Additional duties and project work as required There will be times when you may be required to undertake additional tasks, duties and responsibilities within your capabilities.
