Assistant Catering Manager (Maternity Cover) - Fosters Events at Bristol Zoo Project
Are you a passionate and experienced catering professional looking for an exciting opportunity?
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced assistant manager to cover for a team member who will be on maternity leave for approximately 12months.
About the Role
As the assistant Manager , you will support the General Manager in delivering exceptional food and service across our catering operations. You’ll play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day running of the catering department, ensuring smooth operations, high standards, and a fantastic experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of catering operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training.
- Oversee stock control, ordering, and waste reduction to maintain efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
- Monitor service quality and guest satisfaction, responding to any issues effectively.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the team to maintain high service standards.
What We 're Looking For
- Experience in a catering management or supervisory role, ideally within events, hospitality, or visitor attractions.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to inspire and support the team.
- A passion for delivering outstanding food and guest experiences.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and relevant certifications (e.g., Food Hygiene Certificate).
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays as required.
