We are looking for a Programme L eader

You will be working in a brand new, purpose-built facility for a well-established gymnastics club. Here, the focus is to deliver fun-focused gymnastics sessions to children aged 0-16.

Gymfinity Gymnastics has been running for over 10 years and caters for boys and girls from preschool to 16 in competitive and recreational gymnastics. The candidate appointed as programme manager must be self-motivated, confident, professional and have excellent customer service skills, they must be committed and passionate about gymnastics!

Applicants will need:

• Previous management experience ideally in sport, leisure or gymnastics.

• Be available to work evenings and weekends.

• Gymnastics level 1/2 preferred but willingness to learn the sport and achieve qualifications also acceptable for the right candidate.

• Working with the area / regional manager to operationally run the programmes .

• Set out and away gymnastics equipment and prepare for sessions.

• Responsible for ensuring that all relevant policies written in the Employee Handbook and Employee Safety Handbook are adhered to by yourself and your staff.

• Lead the gym floor and ensure that sessions are of a high quality and safe.

• Responsible for ensuring that there is an adequate number of coaches conducting children on trials and providing outstanding service to the members.

• Maintain cleanliness of the gym to including weekly cleaning

• Deal with prospective parents and gymnasts in a professional manner whilst showing them the facilities and assisting them with joining

• Deal with any necessary administration and member issues, which includes, but is not limited to, answering the telephone, returning messages left on the answering machine, report submission and responding to relevant e-mails.

• Always deliver outstanding customer service to both members and prospects

Ensuring that all H&S and HR policy and procedures as set out by British Gymnastics are adhered to and actioned.

• Conduct monthly and weekly club safety checks and record all defects that you are not able to rectify, in the maintenance file and call out the relevant engineers.

• Help to create an environment where all coaches enjoy themselves whilst at work and make a real contribution to the success of the club and business as a whole

• To undertake any other reasonable duties/ projects/ meetings, which may be required from time to time including birthday parties, workshops and events.

• Work across other sites if required

• Ensure all coaches are coaching at the required standard.

• Provide guidance, mentoring and direction to all staff and coaches including regular performance reviews

• Identify training needs and initiate development activities of coaches.

Person specification

• Good communication skills, oral and written

• Experience in risk assessment and decision making

• Experience with dealing with the Public

• Able to demonstrate ability to motivate others

• Flexible attitude to working hours is required

• Committed to own personal development being prepared to undertake BG and other training courses

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £24,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
