Rydal Communications, a leading provider of communication solutions, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Apprentice to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth of their business through data-driven insights.
As a Data Analyst Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity, improving system efficiency, and providing valuable insights to stakeholders across the company. You will work closely with various teams, including Sales, Commercial, and Leadership, to support informed decision-making.
In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data & Business Insights Level 3 apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
- Data Maintenance and Accuracy: Ensure data integrity through regular maintenance checks and ad-hoc data cleansing projects.
- Audit, reformat, and prepare data for system imports (e.g., customer and contract data).
- End-User Experience Improvement: Generate system reports to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with teams to enhance user experience.
- Gather user feedback and propose system developments based on performance.
- System Process Guides: Develop and maintain clear system guides for users and provide training as needed.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Use Power BI, Excel, and ERP system to gather, analyse, and visualise key business data, including sales performance.
- Data Analysis: Apply techniques like pivot tables, statistical analysis, and regression to analyse customer behaviour, sales trends, and operational performance.
- System Integration and Improvement: Support the integration of ERP systems with other platforms and identify any data-related inefficiencies.
- Replicate, Document and communicate bug reports to external development teams.
- Stakeholder Reporting: Share insights with stakeholders (e.g., Commercial Director, Sales teams, Leadership) to support decision-making.
- Customer and Business Insights: Analyse customer behaviour and trends to optimise account management and assess the impact of business decisions on profitability.
- Data Quality and Maintenance: Perform regular data quality checks, cleanse data for system integration, and support the implementation of data integrity checks.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and the Baltic team.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
- A strong attention to detail.
- A confident communicator, able to effectively share information with colleagues.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- The ability to take feedback constructively.
- A willingness to learn and develop skills in Excel, Power BI and ERP systems.
- A grade 4/C at GCSE in English and Maths is required for this role.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
- Starting salary: £14,700 per annum.
- Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm.
- 22 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays.
