- Lead the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communications plans.
- Manage and develop the Communications & Marketing team within the Strategy & Growth Directorate.
- Manage a team of marketing and communications professionals.
- Drive the implementation of an ambitious, sensitive and effective communications and marketing strategy that provides
- Oversee the creation of effective marketing materials and campaigns.
- Ensure all communications are accurate, timely, and adhere to brand guidelines.
- Ensure that communications is championed and included at a strategic level, ensuring its effective use both internally and externally to support the work of the organisation.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve organisational goals.
- Liaise with journalists on both a proactive, and a reactive, basis as required, managing news stories and providing well-drafted statements and media releases.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Manage relationships with external agencies and partner’s.
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, email, and content marketing.
- Represent the organisation at events and public meetings.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Marketing and Communications should have:
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the public sector.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A strong understanding of marketing trends and techniques.
- The ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative approach.
