You will be responsible for overseeing and optimising our organisation’s technological infrastructure, with a focus on networking, platforms, systems, and IT. You will lead several high-performing operations teams, ensuring that our ISP network, hosting, and IT environment is secure, scalable, and aligned with the business’s strategic objectives.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading and empowering a diverse team across networking, systems, platforms, and IT support, fostering a positive, collaborative, innovative, and performance-driven culture.
  • Grow team members competence and confidence using the company’s personal development regime.
  • Oversee Operational Project Delivery Working closely with cross-functional teams to integrate project milestones with the overall technology operations roadmap, ensuring that initiatives support the organisation’s goals.
  • Cultivate a culture of clear communication and ownership within the operations teams, ensuring that each project phase is executed with accountability.
  • Develop and execute an operational technology roadmap that aligns with overall organisational goals.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritise initiatives and investments that optimise infrastructure and operational efficiency.
  • Drive initiatives to modernise and streamline platform and systems operations.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies to keep the organisation at the forefront of IT operations.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to secure cost-effective and high-quality solutions.
  • Act as a key technical advisor on IT operational matters, presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver executive-level communications regarding IT operations, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives
  • Participate in the company Operational Board and the Technology Architecture group, serving as a representative for the CTO and other technology leaders in various internal and external forums.

Our ideal candidate will have experience of:

  • Extensive experience in managing complex IT operations, in at least one of networking, systems administration, and platform management.
  • Proven track record in planning, implementing, and maintaining scalable IT environments.
  • Background in cybersecurity and IT risk management.
  • Familiarity with agile operational methodologies.
  • Demonstrated passion for improving the work life of technology professionals through advocacy, mentorship, and improvement of tools and practices.
  • Proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead engineers towards achieving excellence in a supportive and empowering environment.
  • Have a knack for fostering positive relationships and a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • The ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Extensive knowledge of client/server engineering principals.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £90,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
