Working alongside the Quality team, leading on quality assurance and taking responsibility for the quality and conformity of products and processes throughout production. This role aims to provide progression to Quality management.
- Providing support of high-quality products which meet customer standards and requirements.
- Ensuring that products leave the company meeting all quality standards and requirements.
- Engaging with customers and suppliers to understand customer concepts and requirements and lead the Quality team to ensure that these requirements are adhered to throughout production.
- Integral part of the Quality team to ensure that team members are fully trained and equipped to achieve the team’s objectives.
- Supporting health and safety/HSE throughout the business, including creation of risk assessments, fire safety, and representative relationships.
- Leading on capability assessments on equipment and processes.
- Ensuring adherence to safety, legal, and customer specific requirements throughout the entire product process, from design to launch.
- Taking responsibility for Quality audits and ensuring that company processes are in line with relevant standards and regulations.
- Implementing and taking responsibility for processes to ensure that corrective action is applied consistently throughout the business and across all products, ensuring that quality issues are not repeated in any other product or process.
- Creating systems improving inter-departmental communications around quality issues, ensuring that concerns and corrective action are communicated appropriately throughout the business.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business.
Skills
Qualified in relevant engineering/quality discipline.
Experience of working with:
- Electrical Wiring/IPC wiring standards
- HSE / Health & Safety principles
- PPAP submissions & DFMA
- Good grasp of cable crimping, soldering & basic Cornelius skills
- ISO 9001 & 14001
- Six Sigma
- Customer relationship management/ communication
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
