Trainee Fire Extinguisher Engineer - London based
Marlowe Fire & Security are the fastest growing fire & security business in the UK. From initial design, supply and installation, through to ongoing maintenance and monitoring, we maintain the capability to help prevent, detect and monitor Fire and Security risks for our customers up and down the country. We are currently looking to appoint a new Trainee Fire Extinguisher Engineer specifically covering the Slough, Reading or Hemel regions.
Basic Salary – based on National Minimum wage with an OTE upto £28,000

Marlowe Fire & Security’s Trainee Fire Extinguisher Technician’s
As a trainee, you’ll have the opportunity to develop essential skills in fire extinguisher maintenance, inspection, and testing. This knowledge is valuable and transferable to various roles within the fire safety industry.
- During your first 6 months, you will receive industry leading training delivered by our team at Marlowe, which will combine classroom and on the job training at a selection of our prestigious client sites whilst being closely mentored by an appointed Engineer.
- You will be enrolled onto an industry specific course with a view to becoming BS5306 qualified.
- Within 6-12 months you will achieve BAFE Accreditation (British Approvals for Fire Excellence).
- The fire safety industry is constantly evolving, with new technologies and regulations, this offers opportunities for continued learning and professional development.
The key responsibility of this role is to learn and become a fully qualified Fire Extinguisher Technician.
- Working in line with our Fire Extinguisher Technicians.
- Build professional and effective relationships with a wide client base.
- Effectively communicate with our customers’ to ensure a good understanding of system/equipment status.
- Liaise with Service Administrators to ensure the needs of our customers’ are met.
- Be responsible for the management & security of vehicle stock, tools & equipment.
- Approach all training positively & complete all duties in a professional manner.
- Travel and some stop over is expected during the training period and busier months

- A Mechanical qualification or similar would be an advantage, but not mandatory
- Field based Mechanical or Fire work would also be an advantage, but again, not mandatory
- Willingness to learn and develop within a growing organisation
- Great attention to detail
- Astute and assertive at all times
- Full, Manual UK Drivers Licence
