Snowball is seeking a Head of Video to lead and scale the video and YouTube strategy for a leading privacy-focused technology company that is revolutionizing digital security and communication. The Opportunity

As Head of Video, you will be the driving force behind the company’s YouTube and video content strategy, shaping how it communicates complex privacy and digital security topics to a global audience. You will oversee the end-to-end video production process, developing high-impact, thought-provoking content that educates and engages viewers.

You’ll lead a team of producers, editors, and external creatives, collaborating with Snowball’s experts in YouTube growth and digital storytelling—leaders who have collectively grown channels to 27M+ subscribers and generated over 10B views. This role offers the opportunity to build and scale a premium video content program while making a meaningful impact in a mission-driven tech company.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a world-class video strategy, positioning the company as a leader in digital privacy and security content.
  • Lead the YouTube production team, overseeing creative direction, content planning, and workflow management.
  • Define the video content roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand, mission, and audience insights.
  • Direct the creation of compelling, visually engaging, and educational long-form and short-form video content.
  • Oversee the full production lifecycle—from ideation and scripting to filming, editing, and publishing.
  • Experiment with new storytelling formats, engaging audiences through cinematic, documentary-style, and explainer video techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, content) to align storytelling with business goals.
  • Engage with multiple stakeholders and prioritize competing requests transparently, maximizing “win-win” outcomes.
  • Analyze video performance metrics, using data-driven insights to optimize content and drive channel growth.
  • Manage budgets and external partnerships, scaling the video operation efficiently.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in video production, directing, or content creation, with a strong portfolio of engaging digital, documentary-style or educational content.
  • Proven leadership experience, managing video teams.
  • Deep understanding of YouTube growth strategies, audience engagement, and platform trends.
  • Strong storytelling expertise, with the ability to simplify and visualize complex technical topics.
  • Experience overseeing the full video production cycle, from ideation to distribution.
  • Project management skills, ensuring video production stays on schedule and aligns with business goals.
  • Background in tech, cybersecurity, SaaS, or privacy-focused content creation is a plus.
