Main responsibilities of the job:

Steer is seeking to expand our Development Planning offer and is looking for an experienced consultant to join our London-based team. We work with Canary Wharf Group, London City and Stansted Airports, Related Argent, Homes England and Barratt London as part of a diversified project portfolio.

Alongside new clients, a high volume of our projects are repeat work with existing clients. You will have the opportunity to work directly with clients and develop your project management and consultancy skills at Steer.
Requirements
You will work as part of a team providing solutions to both private and public sector clients. This position requires an enthusiastic, hard-working person, who wants to be part of our growing, dynamic team. In this role, you will be required to:

Support our transport planning offer across the company both in the UK and internationally.

Lead work streams within projects, ensuring that best practice techniques are applied consistently.

Deliver excellent joined-up and high-profile development planning projects in the UK, which contribute to the company’s reputation for delivering excellence.

Be proactive, show initiative and take responsibility to deliver key tasks with a range of projects.

Prepare and present reports, proposals, briefing notes and transport planning documentation.

Manage clients on a day-to-day basis, and associated project budgets exercising effective financial and budgetary control.

Contribute to the production and delivery of proposals and marketing materials related to our market area from time to time.

Take part in training to develop both your technical and consultancy skills.
To be successful in the role, you will:
-
Demonstrate a good track record of working for a consultancy delivering transport planning deliverables for planning applications .

Take responsibility for key tasks, workstreams and deliverables, managing multiple deadlines in parallel.

Demonstrate strong analytical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven project delivery experience in a transport consultancy environment.
