Job Purpose:

As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management, and day-to-day operations of the nursery. You will ensure the highest standards of care, education, and safeguarding while leading a passionate and skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards.
  • Lead, support, and develop a team of early years professionals to maintain our Outstanding rating.
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance to build an effective team.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents, carers, and external agencies.
  • Implement and monitor policies and procedures to maintain high-quality provision.
  • Oversee nursery finances, budgets, and occupancy levels.
  • Maintain accurate records, including safeguarding and health & safety documentation.
  • Promote flexible working and term-time-only options to support work-life balance.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification (Degree or Level 5+ preferred).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an early years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding procedures.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for high-quality early years education and childcare.
