HSE & Quality Manager

The Company

Intelli-Park is a leading provider of car park management solutions, providing our clients with bespoke, innovative solutions to ensure all requirements are delivered.

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an energetic individual to oversee our Health, Safety and Environmental activities and lead our ISO 9001,14001and 45001 accreditations. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating HSE into our everyday activities and build on our framework of HSE policies, processes and risk assessments.

You will be responsible for ensuring the business continues to meet all is statutory HSE obligation and be a forward-thinking individual ensuring we meet our Environmental and Sustainability goals.

The Roles & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading, supporting and advising the business on all aspects of HS&E and Quality strategies. You will be expected to implement, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, culture change programs etc so as to ensure all responsibilities associated with HSE within the business are adhered to.

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, this role will be supported the Facilities coordinator role.

  • Ensure that all HSE policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated to all relevant employees.
  • Ensure the business meets its statutory HSE obligations including mandatory training, reporting, emergency arrangements etc.
  • Keep and maintain relevant HSE records.
  • Ensure the business regularly reviews risk assessments, including all work equipment, plant and operations.
  • Ensure that all incidents, accidents and near misses are; investigated, documented and improvements are implemented.
  • Produce HSE reports as necessary.
  • Lead a positive HSE Culture change across the business.
  • Development of the Group HSE policies, standards and procedures.
  • Establish and monitor a programme of HSE inspections, management system audits and due diligence audits.
  • Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant HSE legislation, and communicate relevant changes to the business.
  • Liaise with the wider Business Directors, Managers and employees to communicate HSE strategy and requirements
  • Lead HSE meetings and ensure all employees are aware of relevant HSE matters.
  • Liaise with external consultants, suppliers, customers, insurers, relevant authorities and solicitors as and when required.
  • Able to travel to all Offices and Sites in UK and potentially stay overnight where necessary.
  • Support the ANPR and Parking Operations teams in all HSE matters.
  • Work closely with the HR Team on Incidents and Accidents and strategies to overcome and reduce.
  • Support the business in business continuity issues and emergency situations, as required.

Specific Experience & Skills Required

  • Significant, demonstrable experience in managing HSE in previous roles
  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • Ideally hold or working towards a H&S/ HSE Diploma
  • Experience in participating and managing ISO Audits on a company wide basis
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to collect, analyse HSE data and implement HSE improvement programs
  • Be approachable and able to communicate with all levels of the organisation
  • Be a self-starter and have the ability to work remotely using own initiative
  • Hold a full driving licence
