Japanese-Speaking ACCA Trainee Accountant

Location: Old Street, London (3-minute walk from Old Street tube station)
Salary: £32,000 per annum + overtime payments at the same pay rate

The Role

We are seeking a Japanese-speaking Trainee Accountant to join our team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and detail-oriented individual with at least three years of practical experience in an accounting department (either in the UK or Japan).

As a Trainee Accountant , you will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting and compliance while working closely with senior accountants. This role will suit someone looking to advance their career in accounting with the benefit of financing your ACCA study.

Key Responsibilities

• Management accounts preparation for clients
• Payroll processing , ensuring accuracy and compliance
• VAT and Corporation Tax calculations and submissions
• Liaising with statutory auditors and supporting audit processes
• Supervising and coordinating junior staff , ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
• Supporting clients with general accounting queries and financial reporting
• Assisting in the preparation of year-end financial statements

Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:
✅ At least 3 years of accounting experience (either in Japan or the UK)
✅ Fluent Japanese reading and writing skills (business level)
✅ Strong numerical and analytical skills
✅ Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
✅ Ability to work independently and manage junior staff effectively
✅ A self-motivated and proactive approach to work

University degree with any subject (Accounting, Law and Business related subjects are welcome)

Work Environment

This is a fully office-based role at our location near Old Street tube station , providing an excellent opportunity for in-person training and professional development.
