pose: Candidate will be responsible for the control and efficient running of their section in the kitchen, according to specified standards of the restaurant while adhering to company and statutory regulations pertaining to health and safety and h

iene. Main Responsibilities/K
y Tasks: Have a full operational knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes and presentation style of dishes produced within th
section. To be responsible for the day-to-day ordering of food for a section in line with the UK purchasing
uidelines. Actively involve in menu planning for the restaurant and outsi
e catering. Ensure food prepared is of highest possib
e standards. Working with the management and setting daily production levels and weekly prod
ction levels. Controlling portion sizes in accordance with food
pecifications. Maintaining stocks levels according to levels of business and understanding how this can have an effec
on food costs. Must have strong knife skills, food presentation skills and fo
d safety skills. Ordering and stock check in concurrence wi
h the management. Knows how to check deliveries including checking weights, temperature and use by dates
n raw ingredients. Overseeing deliveries and ensuring they are stored safely and hygienically in ac
ordance with stock. Check that all food safety regulations and procedures are
fully complied with. Report any defective equipment or safety hazar
s within the kitchen. To maintain all place at a sufficient level to ensure an uninterrupted flow of food during the service period whilst controlling food quality, consistency, appearance and taste and controlling departmental costs and expenses, conduct
egular wastage checks. Encourage safe working procedures and to comply with statutory and company health and safety regulations, especially fire precautions, manual handling, chemical usage and storage, disposal of waste materials and

eporting of accidents. The candidate must have a minimum work experience of 2 years in South Indian cooking. Knowledge of other cuisi

s is an added advantage. Salary:
