Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and enjoy a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality: food preparation with a keen understanding of food safety practices and preparing and serving drinks from our bar. This position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills in the catering and restaurant industry.

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing guest inquiries or concerns promptly.
• Support bartending duties as needed, including mixing drinks and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals during catering events or busy service periods.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of menu items, food safety practices, and customer service techniques.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others, ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all guests.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required by business needs.
• A passion for catering and bartending will be considered an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
