About Us

EPLAN Energy Limited is one of the largest M&E contractors in the West Midlands, with over 200 employees and a strong portfolio of UK-wide clients, including national housebuilders and local authorities. Our success has been driven by efficient internal processes, and we are now looking for an IT & Automation Engineer to join our team to help maintain and develop these systems further.

The Role

This role is ideal for a Computer Science graduate or a junior professional looking to develop their skills in cloud-based systems, automation, and data engineering. The successful candidate will learn our internal software tools and workflows and how to help support our administrative and operational teams in their day to day use of these systems.

Key responsibilities include:

• Maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing our existing cloud-based systems to support business operations.
• Developing automated workflows to improve efficiency across different departments.
• Supporting internal users with technical queries related to business processes.
• Researching, testing, and implementing new tools and integrations to further optimize our operations.
• Leading mini projects aimed at improving automation and data insights for management.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who:

• Has a degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Is interested in cloud technologies, automation, and data workflows.
• Has experience or an interest in low-code/no-code platforms (training will be provided).
• Has strong problem-solving skills and enjoys learning new technologies.
• Can work both independently and as part of a team.
