Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of food production and kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious menu items
  • Ensure that food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques
  • Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Monitor food costs and work towards cost-saving measures
  • Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Assist with menu planning, special events, and catering functions
  • Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a professional kitchen as a Sous Chef or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary terminology, and kitchen equipment
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Solid understanding of food safety practices and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
