Job Summary:
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in overseeing all aspects of food production and kitchen operations
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious menu items
- Ensure that food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and quality standards
- Supervise and train kitchen staff in proper food preparation techniques
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor food costs and work towards cost-saving measures
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety regulations in the kitchen
- Assist with menu planning, special events, and catering functions
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in a professional kitchen as a Sous Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary terminology, and kitchen equipment
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Solid understanding of food safety practices and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
