We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who enjoys a daily challenge, with the I can do attitude.

This position forms an important part of the parking service department for Reading Borough council, the successful applicant will be trained as part of the car park team, carrying out essential communication to our customers throughout the Reading Borough council area, this position will be office bases working with and under the supervision of management and colleagues, the role will carry relevant multi-tasking duties within the car park.

We are open to flexible working patterns which can suit the individual and the business needs.

About the role

  • Responsibility for the review and processing of Car Park season ticket and permit passes for all Reading Borough Council Car Parks.
  • To be main point of contact for customers regarding enquiries/complaints and to ensure that any follow up action has been taken.
  • To ensure that the correct levels of payments are paid, checking for accuracy. To administer any invoices / VAT receipts.
  • To reconcile weekly payments including cash, credit/debit card from a variety of sources.
  • To update and monitor database/spreadsheets of these payments/season tickets/permit passes.
  • Responsibility for the collation and submission of statistical information and production of Daily/ Weekly/Monthly performance management monitoring reports in respect of the Car Parks and On Street Pay, Display parking and CCTV Team.

About you

We are looking for someone with a can do attitude, someone that enjoys a challenge, can make things happen, whilst never losing sight of the customer.

  • Computer literacy, knowledge of Microsoft Office Apps
  • Good Communication skills.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and prepare to work on their own initiative.
  • Driving licence preferred.
