Global Portfolio Lead - Product Manager - Technical Electronics / Digitally Connected Technologies Products required in Knaresborough, near Harrogate Leeds, Hybrid working options. This role is part of a new team designed to leverage a global approach to managing strategically important products across the Group, spanning all business regions and channels.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial Global Portfolio Lead to identify and exploit growth opportunities within a specified technical product portfolio across the group.

Working alongside Regional Product Managers, you will ensure that customer needs are heard and met, working closely with colleagues from a broad range of functions.

This role will drive innovation in new products, targeting profitable growth and leveraging best practice from around the group.

The role will be responsible for developing the strategy for the specified portfolio and ensuring that operational objectives are met.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Develop and own the portfolio strategic plan, operational plan, goals and objectives
• Contribute to the Regional Strategic Market Plans
• Build the product roadmap based on insights and strategy for the portfolio
• Responsible for the portfolio product lifecycle
• Ensure portfolio is in-line with the company vision
• Responsible for running the Innovation Triangle (Portfolio, Marketing, R&D/Design) and the Commercial Triangle (Portfolio, Sales and Marketing) for the portfolio
• Competitor analysis, analyse market dynamics and competitors
• Understand user needs and develop relationships with key accounts
• Track and follow customer and consumer trends
• Propose ways to win market share in each market
• Drive New Product Development, building global business cases and working alongside engineering teams to ensure delivery to the brief
• Work closely with Supply Chain teams to manage strategic suppliers
• Lead portfolio discussions and presentations during range reviews
• Work closely with Regional Product Managers, Sales Directors and General Managers to define range and commercial strategy
• Responsible for the portfolio catalogue, including unique selling propositions, together with product marketing
• Responsible for price positioning (launch pricing and pricing management)
• Own the product messaging, working with Brand & Marketing for communications and POS definition
• Develop product performance/testing methodologies

Additional experience to support your application for Global Portfolio Lead:

• Proven work experience as Portfolio / Category / Product Manager or similar role
• Experience of working within electronics / electrical technical products, with digital / connected technologies an advantage
• Highly commercial, with an entrepreneurial approach

Candidate will need to ensure a regular presence in the North Yorkshire site, as well as occasional travel to the Group’s regional offices, customers, suppliers and trade shows.

Pay: £65,000.00-£70,000.00 per year
