DWP. Digital with Purpose.

DWP is the UK’s biggest government department. 110,000 colleagues deliver services and support to over 25 million people every day, and we make payment worth over £195bn a year.

Our expert DWP Digital community is transforming those products and services using the best tech, tooling, and innovative thinking. We’re making government services simpler and easier to access and cheaper to run and making DWP work better.

Delivering with People.

Our Agile Delivery Managers enable high-performing multidisciplinary digital teams to create, build, innovate and deliver. We create psychologically safe spaces where digital experts can be at their best.

You’ll be working with our Children and Families team. We help build, run and maintain products and services that improve the outcomes for children, by enabling parents to manage sustainable child maintenance arrangements in an efficient and convenient way.

You’ll make sure they have what they need to deliver the best services. You’ll identify blockers, and find the best way round through, and over.

This is an are where user groups can be complex, and the operational landscape can be challenging. You’ll need to be able to navigate those stakeholder relationships and balance priorities.

As well as being well-versed in agile tools and techniques, for this role we are looking for direct experience of procurement, commercial and supplier management.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Experience in delivering within an agile multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills and creating a safe and supporting environment.
  • Proactivity in taking ownership of work, leading a team to deliver effective results.
  • Experience of coaching and developing others, taking ownership of your own development.
  • Managing commercial arrangements and working with suppliers to deliver a high-quality product
