Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Night Security Officer who will lead a small team of Night Security Officers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various situations with professionalism. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in upholding the integrity of our premises while providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
- To provide effective supervision to night teams.
- To ensure that all properties are secure at all times.
- Ensure effective management practices and all serious concerns are reported to Night Services Manager.
- Ensure that safeguarding’s, incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
- Provide reports and data as required by the Night Services Manager.
- To ensure that teams maintain accurate records, and complete a robust handover with daytime teams.
- To monitor and review CCTV footage as appropriate, ensuring safety of the night housing officers.
- To ensure that all repairs and maintenance issues are reported promptly, and that works completed are quality checked.
- Ensure that any health and safety concerns are reported and addressed immediately.
- To provide advice and guidance to teams where required due to absence / holiday.
Leading the Team
- Lead, supervise, motivate and manage the team so that the service is delivered in line with Pivotal’s policies, procedures and ethos.
- Conduct property inductions for new starters
- Making sure the team is trained and motivated to carry out tasks to the highest standard, carrying out regular one to one’s to ensure that required standards are met in line with agreed targets.
- Coach individuals and the night team to perform to the best of their ability
- Give ongoing feedback on performance and effectively manage poor performance
- Carry out employee appraisals, identifying development needs and ensuring that training plans are written, actioned and monitored for the team.
- Implement Pivotal’s Health and Safety Policy and Procedures. Ensure that all practices are undertaken in accordance with ensuring a healthy and safe working environment and that all employees are aware of their responsibilities in respect of their role.

- Provide support and guidance to all team members

- It is essential that you live within 15 miles of St Austell.
Education, Training, Skills and Experience
Essential
Experience of working with vulnerable people
Experience of working with those experiencing addiction and/or poor mental health.
Mobility
Able to travel independently and effectively throughout the company’s area of operation
Access to a car. Mileage will be paid at 45p per mile
Full driving licence and business insurance
